Choose each system’s role before designing data flows.

Smartup can operate as the distribution execution layer alongside an existing ERP or include the native Smartup ERP core in the agreed scope. That choice defines data owners, exchange documents and reconciliation points.

Keep the existing ERP

The ERP retains agreed master-data and accounting ownership while Smartup manages field and distribution execution.

For each customer, outlet, SKU, commercial rule and execution fact, the project names a system of record. Other systems receive the agreed representation instead of creating a parallel version without a conflict rule.

A CONTRACT FOR EVERY FLOW

An API name is not a verifiable data contract.

The contract defines direction, identity, required fields, validation, statuses and the exception owner. Frequency and transport alone do not make a flow reliable.

MAKE ERRORS OWNED WORK

Replay only after the cause, owner and safety rule are clear.

The log distinguishes a technical failure from a data error. Safe replay uses the same external ID and does not replace correction at the source with endless resubmission.

Commitment boundaryThe 30+ confirmed integration catalogue does not mean a universal connector to any system. Availability, interfaces, directions, frequency, data scope, accountability and acceptance criteria are confirmed after discovery for the selected architecture.

An existing ERP is one of two operating models, not a mandatory dependency; the alternative is the native Smartup ERP core. Where integration is required, it starts with data ownership and the document lifecycle.

Does Smartup replace the existing ERP?

No. ERP can remain the accounting system and owner of agreed master data, while Smartup provides the execution layer and returns defined facts.

Is there a ready-made connection to every external system?

That cannot be promised without review. The project defines the system, available exchange method, fields, statuses, ownership and agreed integration scope.

How do we know a retry will not create a duplicate?

Ask to see the external identifier, idempotent handling rules, log and recovery path using your agreed data flow.
